The SC has approved Patricia McFadden as this year's Women's Caucus Luncheon speaker. For those of you who do not know her, she is an activist and scholar who worked in the anti-apartheid movement for more than 20 years. She has worked in the African and global women’s movements, was an editor of the Southern African Feminist Review and African Feminist Perspectives. In the US, she has taught at Cornell University, Spelman College, Syracuse University, and Smith College. She also works as a feminist consultant, supporting women in creating institutionally sustainable feminist spaces within southern Africa and is a member of the advisory board of the African Feminist Initiative at Penn State.
